Libby Marcus, Mask and puppet designer, teacher. She currently teaches theatre arts to eighth-graders at the Boston Latin School. Teaching staffs and Curriculum Development Teams of which she has been a member have received the Commonwealth Award for Excellence in Arts Education (1993 Arts in Progress, Inc.) and grants from the Getty Foundation, and the Leonard Bernstein Education Foundation. She has designed masks and puppets for theatre companies including Beau Jest Moving Theatre, Boston Museum of Science, Nora Theatre, Chamber Repertory Company, White River Junction Theatre Festival, and Emerson Stage Company. She is part of the "Great Move-out of 1999."

Marjorie McDermott, Mezzo-soprano. Marjorie McDermott trained at New England Conservatory, Boston University Opera Theatre, and the Academie Internationale de Musique Maurice Ravel in France. Her repertoire ranges from Early Music (she sings with the Handel & Haydn Society, and the Boston Early Music Festival); to Contemporary (the premieres of 5 operas, Tanglewood's Festival of Contemporary Music, the New England Composers Orchestra and with the Bolshoi Opera in the Soviet-American Festival Making Music Together). She toured with the Mark Morris Dance Group in the 1996 production of Gluck's opera, Orfeo ed Euridice, which included performances at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland. She is a member of the Handel & Haydn Society Education Quartet which brings music programmes free-of-charge to children in urban schools. Sadly, Marjorie suffered a stroke in late 1997 and has not recovered. She released her apartment in July, 1999.

Cheryl Magoveny, Singer, mother of Kiel and Keena.

Niko (Nicholas Michael Marinos), Born in Florida of a Greek immigrant family, Niko lived in The Piano Factory until his death of cancer in 1993. He produced a large body of paintings and drawings focusing on the urban environment and its inhabitants.

Mattie Mangrum, Singer.

Gregory Mark, Painter, sculptor, furniture designer and maker, sole proprietor of GM Graphics. He is presently designing books at Houghton-Mifflin.

Sarah Rose Mark, The daughter of two visual artists in The Piano Factory, Ms Mark worked in various media before she was 2. Now, at aged 8, she calls herself an artist. She has shown her work in the Gallery at the Piano Factory in an exhibition of the works of resident child artists. Her prize-winning posters have been displayed in the Boston Public Schools and the Gloucester Public Schools. Her paintings were chosen for city-wide group show of children's art in Gloucester (MA).

Tracy Mark, Artist, multi-media. Her installations have been seen at the Gallery at the Piano Factory, and the Children's Museum. She is presently active in the Gloucester Public schools, coordinating cultural presentations for the children. Her 2 children, Zachary James and Sarah Rose were both born while the Marks were living at The Piano Factory.

Tim McDonough, Actor. Currently on the faculty of Emory University in Atlanta.

Catherine McCarthy, Painter. At the time of this writing, she is currently showing her work at the Haines Gallery in San Francisco, California.

Kevin J. McCarthy, Painting and embroidery. His oil painting, Rose, was published on the cover of Innovations & Research, a Boston University Medical Journal. His Pictorial Needleworks: twenty-four original designs executed in crewel embroidery was exhibited at the Boston Public Library, South End Branch in January, 1996.

Ann McQueen, Ms McQueen is currently working with the Boston Foundation to develop and implement funding plans for special initiatives, and with the Worcester Art Museum to fund exhibitions and operations. She is a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts. She has lived in The Piano Factory for over 20 years. As a photographer, she documents art and artists in Italy, China, Egypt and the United States. Her latest photo-documentation was for UrbanArts, Inc., which serves American cities, artists, and communities through public art, education and publications.

Roberto Mighty, Video producer.

Stephanie Miller, Painter, writer, poet. She reared twin girls, Heather and Ivy in the Piano Factory, who continue to live there with their own children. Ms Miller passed away.

Adrienne Mincz, Dancer. Ms Mincz trained extensively with Fred Benjamin, Lynn Simonson, Richard Levi, and Miguel Lopez. As a concert dancer, she was a member of the Impulse Dance Company and Peter DiMuro & Associates. Ms Mincz has been a guest teacher at the Danshuset Studio in Sweden. As a dancer with ACE Entertainment, she has performed internationally.

Ilva Mourad, Word has it she is presently living the Artist's life in Paris, France, with her small son Max.

Edmond J. Moussally, A 15-year resident of The Piano Factory, Mr Moussally is a musician and educator. A former Fulbright Scholar, he performs and lectures widely on traditional songs and dances of the Arab Middle East. He has served as media consultant to Harvard's Semitic Museum, a cultural consultant to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and has published numerous articles on Arab music. Dr Moussally currently serves on the faculty of Roxbury Community College where he is Assistant Professor of Music.

Nana Mukhodse, Musician.

John Murray, Painter, graphic artist, designed the box for Screaming Yellow Zonkers.
