Michael Oster, Composer, lyricist, director, choreographer, writer, and social activist. His writings include Sheboppin' (co-author) produced at the Wilbur Theatre; Bacall, By Herself (co-wrote and directed), Clowns, The Final Engagement of Carleton Penniworth and The Shape of Things to Come. As director and choreographer, he engendered the award-winning productions of Disappearing Act, world-premiered at the Diversionary Theatre in San Diego. It traveled to Boston and Provincetown, and is soon to open off-Broadway. He has directed and/or choreographed at the Huntington Theatre, Worcester Foothills Theatre, American Stage Festival, The Publik Theatre, The Alley Theatre, The Cleveland Civic Light Opera, The Cleveland Playhouse, and The Charles Playhouse. He has written and directed over 50 award-winning cabaret acts. He is the founder of The Cabaret Workshop, a training facility for performers. He has served on the faculties of The Boston Conservatory, Boston University, Emerson College, Northeastern University, and Harvard University's Extension Program. As an activist he currently serves on the Massachusetts Governor's Commission on Gay & Lesbian Youth, and Boston's Gay & Lesbian Adolescent Social Services. He is completing his Master's Degree in Social Work at Boston University. Bill O'Connell, Mr O'Connell has worked out of his Piano Factory studio for 11 years. He is a freelance photographer for magazines and corporations including Fortune, People, Parade, Entertainment Weekly, New Age Journal, AT&T, Data General, NE Electric Systems, Lotus Development, and Arthur D. Little. Awards include Graphis Best of Annual Reports, Mead Annual Report Show, AR 100, Creative Club of Boston, and Big Picture Show. He and his wife, Bethany Gully, are the parents of a daughter, Beatrice Marion, and son, George William. He is part of the "Great Move-out of 1999."
Rick Ouellette, A 1992 graduate of the New England School of Photography, Mr. Ouellette's photographs of historical sites and pop icons have been exhibited at Salem State College, Finer Image Gallery, and the Gallery at the Piano Factory. He is also a free-lance photographer and writer for Stuff Magazine and The Boston Phoenix. His video-essay on The Piano Factory was aired on Boston Cable Access Network.
