Oh hi, Sap here...You wanted to know something?...The dragon?...You mean, the blue dragon?...Oh, well, after he zapped Azura with lightning, the warriors hacked like something fierce at the monster's feet and legs (it was a BIG dragon) until finally it up and disappeared. Next thing we know, the cave is rumbling and shaking like something big and heavy's stomping around upstairs. And who could it be but monsieur dragon; he was planning on caving everything in on us. So I figure, I gotta stop this. And since there are little cracks happening in the ceiling, I figure I could be a little fly and crawl up to where the blue dragon guy is and maybe I'd just get fried instead of crushed, but at least I could do something about it.

So I change into a fly because it's a pretty normal creature and I know how to be a fly. Now if only I knew how to be a dragon-fly (he-he), then maybe I'd be some competition. Anyhow, I crawl up to the dragon and change back into a pixie. I've got a wand ready. No, it's not one like Azura's (spouting lightning and laughter). I give the wand a good squeeze and say "Fire one!" and a beautiful, but hot, spray of fire spouts out and up to the blue dragon. I think that made him mad because down comes one of his feet, trying to squash me. Fortunately (for my life, at least), he only knocks the wand out of my hands and the wind out of my lungs. I manage to catch my breath before he tries to step on me again. I grab my bow and notch a red arrow and hope my aim is true. I pull the string back and let her fly...

...No, a little too low, I hit his left nostril. Quickly I notch another arrow, pull the string back, say a silent prayer to Titania of "Please, please, please!" and let the next one go just as the dragon whips his tail straight at me. I see shimmering reflections of my horrified face multiplied over and over in irridescent blue scales. I have no chance to move. I squeeze my eyes shut and...

...nothing happens. I peek open one of my eyes only to see one looming reflection of myself in one huge scale not one finger's width from my face, and it's not moving. I look up to see a tiny bit of red fletching protruding from the blue dragon's left eye. It's pierced deep and hit a vital organ, his brain. And I, at that instant...faint.

Back to Azura
