My professional career began as a sculptor. In the early eighties , I moved to creating environments rather than objects. From that starting point, jumping to creating garden spaces was a logical extention. Gardening had been a long time passion passed on from my grandparents; natural environments provided a sought after element of constant change; creating a living environment in the living world was much simpler than creating one inside four gallery walls.

These days, however, I seem to be spending a lot of my time in front of a computer, either surfing the web or trying to focus on a blur of html tags. Both have become a new passion, to the point where I am designing other sites. If you like historic gardens , try Maplelawn, or if corporate entertainment is more to your liking, explore VENUES: the entertainment company.

Or you can visit our business web site, Northof45.com, or my just launched experimental web site, noform, which is and always will be under construction (or deconstruction).

These works are from the early 80's, since for the most part now I design and construct gardens, and www sites. But when I was actively sculpting, I worked life-size in clay steel and neon.
