This is a color version of a drawing of JMW Turner, the noted English landscape artist, as a badger. There are several reasons he strikes me as being the sort of person whose animal form would be a badger. He was short and stocky, and his stubbornness and tenacity were well-known to the point of notoriety. His reclusiveness gave the feeling of living in a burrow.
This piece was painted in acrylic paint on a basswood plaque.
