Make Mine Furry

Seeing History Through a Furry Lens

One of the way I tend to characterize people is what animal they would be. Sometimes I'll even draw them as anthropomorphic-animal versions of themselves.

Because I have a definite fondness for Horatio Nelson, here are some pictures I've done of him as a cat.

A Purr-fect Nelson was one of my very first attempts at doing a furry for an art show. Much to my surprise, it won "Best Fan Art" at Capricon XV in 1996, and was my first art sale. Prints are available.

"Mau Lord Nelson" is a portrait of Lord Nelson as an anthropomorphic cat.

"Teneriffe Behind Me" is one of my more recent attempts at doing Lord Nelson as a cat, this time in color

The Hero of the Nile" is another picture of Lord Nelson as a cat, this time at full length. This picture is rendered in colored pencil.

I've also done some drawings of English landscape painter JMW Turner as a badger.

I am currently accepting commissions for artwork. If your interested in having me do something, please Home | Naval History | Reading | Writing | Fandom | Gallery | Articles | Bookstore | Personals | Work at Home | Link to Me
