The Klingons are an imaginary race in Gene Roddenbury's television series Star Trek. In the original series of the 1960's, they were portrayed as vaguely Asian-looking humans with mean attitudes and a fondness for barbaric uniforms.
In the movies of the 1980's, a larger special-effects budget transformed them. Although they remained humanoid, the Klingons suddenly gained their distinctive brow ridges.
I have occasionally amused myself by seeing how various people would look if drawn as Klingons.
Kronos Espects Every Klingon to Do His Duty grew out of my fondness for Lord Nelson. Something about his deep love of battle made me just *have* to see what he would look like as a Klingon. The title just suggested itself, playing upon his famous "England expects..." signal.
"Klingon Intelligence Officer" is a portrait rendered in pencil.
