Unfortunately, Web pages dedicated to Turner are few and often difficult to find. However, here are some I have been able to locate.
The WebMuseum of Paris has a brief biography with pictures of two of his well-known paintings
Mark Harden's Artchive has pictures of a number of his well-known paintings.
Although Turner bequeathed the vast bulk of his life's work to his nation, seeing his work in the original may not be an impossible proposition for those who lack the funds for a plane ticket to England. The Indianapolis Museum of Art owns a substantial collection of Turner paintings, right in the heartland of the United States.
The National Gallery of Art has an exhibit on Turner and one of his major contemporaries, John Constable.
Check The Turner Room for books on this elusive artist.
