"My work tells stories about life
and its performers. As I play with words and
situations that deal with routine (the everyday) or the absurd,
my characters take on a life of their own,
telling me what is essentially eccentric
about their existence. I work by association.
As I suggest a vague idea on canvas,
I let what I see lead me onto new
trajectories, rather like a collage of the brain.
My materials are applied quickly and intuitively using
gesture to create an impression of a moment."
