German Fairytales

In the early 19th Century two brothers collected and published the national folktales of Germany. Kinder- und Hausmarchen (Children's and Household Tales) was published in 1812 and 1814; and was to become one of the most best known works on fairy tales. Just in case you haven't already guesses the brother's names were Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm.

Please Note: In it's final form Kinder-und Hausmarchen had over two hundred stories. The following is merely a few of the better known.
