Super Nintendo Entertainment System
Super Mario Kart **** - mastered and toyed with. Took awhile though.
Super Mario World **** - Beaten repeatedly - to the full extent
Donkey Kong Country *** - Has it's moments of extreme timing challenges
Final Fantasy III **** - Beaten at least three times. Was enjoyable ever time somehow. FFIII is probably a strong foundation on which many RPG's have grown from.
Mortal Kombat II ** - Bloody? Not realistically - why does everyone just seem to be bursting with blood from a single punch? Started the whole fatality/special ending moves. Introduced some interesting characters and techniques.
Killer Instinct ** - The combo game. Played really strongly on combo moves.
Street Fighter Turbo *** - beaten on highest difficulty with Chun Li and Ryu - Street Fighter is just hard to master.
Secret of Mana *** - A really good game. They should have more multi-player RPG games. I don't recall the game as really difficult, but it's nice to have the multi-option.
Zelda something **- A Link to the Past - I played through the second half of the game in two days, and part of the first on some other occasion (rental). Different and all that stuff. Zelda has been a good line of games. Focuses on acquiring tools - simple puzzles with a growing set of tools. Not really that complex of a game through, but quite playable. Exploring big areas and being rewarded with items that actually make a difference...a lot of RPG games have these long paths to an item which we will just throw away. All the items acquired in Zelda can be useful for the rest of the game or are required
WWF Raw *- I don't remember much about this game - I just died and never improved. The wrestling controls are just complicated, and the states and positions are just out there. Simple fighting games have 3 positions - allows for simple control - wrestling is just complicated I suppose.
