Penta is the leading producer of powder coatings in Turkey. The new manufacturing plant for Penta is now being constructed in Gebze/Istanbul. It will accomodate the powder coatings production unit together with solvent based paint production unit and a 3600m2 raw material storage space. The construction of the all manufacturing units is planned to be finished in 3 months. The construction of the administrative building will start this summer. The total construction for the overall project will include approximately a 10,000m2 covered area.

The first nine months period of the construction was supervised by Omer Yilmaz, and now MIMAS A.S. a construction, and engineering firm, is in charge of the construction. The overall project for the manufacturing units and the administrative buildings was designed by Zeynep Celik and Omer Kanipak. These images show the situation of the construction in January 1998. In March, the powder coating unit started to operate. The construction of the solvent based paint unit is still going on and it will operate in two months period.
