My Heart
My heart I prize above any treasure
It's precious to me beyond all measure
It's fragile, too, so I have taken care
To protect it within my mortal lair
Encased in strongest glass and locked away
My heart's kept safe from all harm, come what may
And cushioned on a pillow it does rest
To be secure if put to any test
Furthermore, I've built an iron tower
To stand against the worst destructive power
And within this fortress my heart will stay
Invulnerable till my dying day
If you will take my hand, I'll lead you there
To take my heart and handle it with care
If you will hold it closely to your breast
I know it will then shine brightest and best
