Our Friendship
This is how I define a friend:
One who'll be with me till the end;
One who's honest, one who's caring;
Someone who believes in sharing.
My friends have to be there for me
Whenever I need sympathy,
To lend their strength and their support;
To give peace of mind and comfort.
If I need help in any way,
My true friends will not say me nay.
They'll give what help they can to me
Till I am once more trouble-free.
When I have happiness to share,
I know my true friends will be there
To celebrate life's good fortune:
To laugh, to dance, to sing a tune.
Important times in life are bound
To bring my friends to gather 'round,
To make occasions meaningful
And all of life more wonderful.
My friends can always count on me
To listen to them patiently.
I'll help them, if I know the ways,
To see them through their darkest days.
Whatever is within my power,
I'll do for my friends, any hour.
I'll help to make their problems cease
So they can once more be at peace.
I'll help friends celebrate their joys,
To join with them and make some noise.
I want to share in their pleasures
Because good times are such treasures.
When special times in life come 'round,
Among my friends I will be found
To help them to commemorate
Each special and important date.
My true friends may expect of me
All I look for in them, you see.
I'll be with them until the end,
So I may be defined a friend.
