Leather Tailors in Bali for Fetishwear
If you're planning to travel to Bali whilst fares and accommodation are so cheap, it is very much worth having some fetish or other clothes custom made by
a tailor whilst you are there. The prices are sensational! We stayed at Legian Beach at a nice hotel "Hotel Puri Raja" if you don't want to be too far from the tailors - not sure if other areas have them.
The leather they use is very soft. There are dozens of tailors to choose from.
* We get no commission whatsoever from anything on this page. It is informational only.
We had made:
Leather catsuit
Leather hobble dress or I suppose you could call it a leather mistress dress
Leather hobble skirt
Long leather thigh boots
PVC outfits
Leather jackets
Leather hipsters
A few rules:
Know what you would expect to pay for your garment on the 'net. Know how much leather jackets would cost and compare that to leather jacket prices in Bali - bargain.
Take printouts/pictures of what you want made, as many as possible.
If it is not a leather garment, bring the material with you (eg. PVC). They have plenty of leather in all colours.
Order things on the FIRST day. Some garments such as a catsuit can take some time to make. Leave plenty of spare time for fitting.
Ask for the more expensive and stronger zips and strong stitching.
Ask for the specific type of leather you want - there is heavy or soft, coloured or black.
If you don't know the tailor, get them to make something easy first like leather pants.
If you want it so tight you can't move, ask for it!
Look at the stitching quality etc. of the other jackets and things on display.
Make sure the fitting day and time is communicated very well.
Don't tell the tailors when you are leaving!
Recommendation 1
Above is where we had the leather catsuit and PVC garments made. Great people who can make any garment, reliable, good quality and close to our hotel.
Recommendation 2
Above is where we had the lace up leather thigh boots made. They will make anything except pointy stilettos (can't get the heels).
Some images to print out and take with you on your trip
...so they will know what to make. (sort of a gallery of what we took)
leather catsuit or leather bodysuit, whatever you call it
lace up hip boots (ours went higher, right to the hip)
leather hobble dress or leather mistress dress
leather hobble skirt
leather hobble skirt
leather dress
leather straight jacket (we didn't get that made, but could have)
Other suggestions: leather body sheath, ballet boots, anything with a quite a lot of
man hours required to make because that sort of thing is inexpensive in Bali, it is the raw
materials that are the usual price (except for leather, which is a bit cheaper that normal).
We put this page here because before our trip we searched for 'Bali' and 'Tailor' in the search
engines and found nothing because internet connection is so expensive for the locals. We
get no commission whatsoever from either of the shops mentioned - such friendly people, they looked after us, that is all. We believe
friendly people deserve customers and the poor Balinese are struggling right now.
Hope it was helpful to you.
