The tour through the Old Salem gallery was extremely nostalgic for me. I lived in W-S for 18 months during '93 & '94 and spent many calm and restful hours wandering the streets of Old Salem with my brand new camera (and brand new hobby). While we certainly have no objection to the site, there are a few details in terms of accuracy in naming and dating that we would like to clear up. If it is possible for you to make cor ections to the site relatively easily, perhaps you could E-mail me with your own E-mail address and I could share a few minor corrections with you? First and foremost would be our founding date, which is 1766, not 1776.

My husband and I are not connected to the internet on our home computer. I greatly enjoyed your site. My husband & I visited Winston-Salem last summer. We had a wonderful visit. We are particularly interested in the Moravians and their history & church. We found all the people of Winston-Salem to be most gracious and intere ting. Mr. H.M.Siterlit. I am a direct descendant of The Butner Family from Old Salem. The family has a house and a hat shop. I was hoping to see pictures of these buildings on your site! Is there any way I could have some taken or do you have some already? am currently researching my family. My Butner descendant left Old Salem for two years, because the hat shop wasn't making money.
