Art Gallery Reception

The opening of a new art exhibit at the Sekai-kan Gallery in central Tokyo near Ochanomizu station. Yoshiko was invited to participate as a guest artist so we went to the artist's reception in the evening.

This is a picture of Tokyo taken from the station.

Masako could meet her old friend, Hozumi-san , at the reception. He is a designer of hair fashions such as worn when wearing a kimono.
Click here to see Hozumi-san's work. He is well known in Japan and is one of the top ten craftsmen in his field.

Yoshiko met her friend Matsuya-san. He is a high level manager at the Mainichi Shinbun ( a large Japanese newspaper.)

Some of the organizers of the exhibition are introducing the artists.

Some of the people at the reception. Some of Yoshiko's work is on the wall on the right.

Yoshiko was asked to say a few words at the reception.

Afterwards the artists and some of the patrons adjourned to a nearby restaurant for a party.

Yoshiko is pouring beer for Matsuya-san. My place is the empty one to her left.
