Removal of Kitchen Cabinets

After the skylight was completed the old kitchen cabinets were removed. I hated to just throw away the tile counter tops, but it was the only way. We wanted to replace the old cabinets with the European style and with a lot of slide out units.

All the upper cabinets have been removed. Mike and Niel are lifting the tile counter top off the island.

There goes the counter top out through the garage headed for the dump.

This cabinet is almost completely dismanteled.

One last look at our avocado tile counter top.

The vinyl flooring and underlying particle board has been removed and the toe kicks for the new cabinets are being installed.

The new island will house a Jenn-Aire Dual Fuel range so a hole was cut in the floor to bring in a gas line and to install a down draft exhaust unit.
