I was looking through my page and found out that you guys don't really know anything about me. Granted you've seen my hobbies and interests, but you really don't know anything about me, so here goes...On June 17, 1978, I was born Mary Carolyn Smith in Evansville, IN. Nicknamed "Cari", I grew up there with my mom and her off-and-on marriages, until I was 16 years old, and my mom, step-father, and I moved to Indianapolis. I graduated in the top 15% of my class, or top 20 or something like that from Bishop Chatard High School, and went on to attend Franklin College in Franklin, IN, about 20 mintues south of Indianapolis. I am just beginning my senior year. I am a Sociology major with a Criminal Justic track and a Religious Studies minor. I am the Sociology Club President, Senior Class Representative for Student Congress, a member of the String Ensemble, and a computer lab proctor. Yes I *do* have a boyfriend, Zach, whom I love very much, and I am pretty darn sure that the feeling is mutual. Outside of school, I have interned at the Indiana Civil Rights Commission for two summers, and I hope when I graduate I can get a good start there. I am very much interested in my heritage, which is a generous mix of Scottish, Irish, French, German, English, and Cherokee. Along with my interest in my ancestry, along with my grandfather, I like to research genealogy. I have also officially joined my Scottish clan, Clan Maclaine of Lochbuie, and I am the Indiana Commissioner for the clan. I seem to have a decent, normal life. WRONG!!!

Aside from the turbulent family life I grew up with, which I shall refrain from bitching about because if you know me, you've heard it, I was a big nerd in high school. A lot of people can't see me that way, but I was. Heck, I still am to some extent. I used to have no self-esteem and hated myself. I got over it, and the sessions of depression I went through. I don't care anymore. It's ok. I have, to some extent, dubbed myself as "The Computer Nerd's Wet Dream." I am decently pretty, interested in computers, handy with html, knowledgable with MUD's, newsgroups, and ICQ, intelligent, and just lots of other things that anyone could be interested in. Musical talent runs in my family, so I am a music fiend, liking anything from classical to rock, the only exceptions being most country and rap. I play the violin and sing as well. I write poetry, if you haven't already seen, and I am a co-writer on an online comic called "Ghost: 2138." I've got it pretty good, I guess. Zach doesn't like a lot of my online involvement, especially with MUD's which I have taken a great interest in. Oh well, I like my fantasy world. It's always good to get away. I'm not extraordinary. I am pretty normal, but it's taken a lot to get this way.
