Dutch Quiltersguild National Exhibition 2001: Nieuwegein

This year's exhibition will be held in Nieuwegein, near Utrecht, about an hour's drive from Amsterdam. As in previous years, quilts from Dutch quilters will be proudly displayed and over the years the National Exhibition has become a meeting place for quilters, both Dutch and foreign.
Below you will find a FAQ in which some practical questions about the exhibition will be answered.

When is the exhibition?

This year's exhibition will be held from
Friday the 24th of August until Thursday the 30th of August. It is opened daily from 10 am until 5 pm o'clock, except for the first Friday when it will be opened from 11 am until 5 pm.


Where is the exhibition?

This year's exhibition is held in the
"Blokhoeve", also known as the Nieuwegein Business Center, located in Nieuwegein, near Utrecht and about an hour's drive from Amsterdam.


What can I see and do there?

Firstly, the exhibition shows recent work made by its members. Secondly there will be demonstrations of different techniques and a number o
f shops will sell their fabrics. 


How do I get there?

By public transport: From Utrecht Central Station (which has excellent rail links to the rest of Holland, Germany and Belgium), take the 'sneltram' to IJsselstein or Nieuwegein, get off at the first stop in Nieuwegein (called Zuilenstein) and you will see the Business Center across the road.
