Sachets 'n' Things
Hi, my name is Bonnie Bousquet- Smith. I am am x-ray technologist and a registered nurse but stopped working in those professions to have my children (ages 5, 7, 10). I have always made things with my hands. The earliest endeavor I can remember is teaching myself at age 6 to crochet after my brothers and I found some thread and hooks left under a house we'd just moved into. My aunt started me loom beading at 8. During a 4 year stay in Iceland, I received Ann Benson's Beadweaving book. Since then my obsession has been with small beads. I enjoy working pieces in my hands and also like combining techniques or different versions of the same technique in the same piece. The disciplines of crochet, knitting, basket making, weaving, traditional Japanese emboidery and most recently Kumihimo (Japanese cord making) provide more inspiration for projects than I can keep up with.
Hope you enjoy. Due to our inability to fully understand the making of this page, there have been problems noted. If there are any comments or suggestion please feel free to comment on the content of the page, your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
