WHERE'S SAWICKI GOING TO BE NEXT?
Forewarned is fourarmed. Avoidance may become mandatory!
Sub Section Five
Find me here. Find me there. Conventions I attend, signings I do, places I might be seen.
- Arisia. This is a Boston based con with some excellent costuming (even if it does tend toward leather and rubber. Interesting panels as well and it always takes place in a great hotel in a great city. Plus, I'm there. God, what more could you ask from a single weekend?
- Boskone. This con takes place in Framingham at the Tara hotel which is castle-like. It's typically a high powered con with great guests, lots of publisher types, a great art show and a decent bar with super clam chowder.
- Lunacon. Taking place just outside of New York City, this con is convenient, occurs in a true SF hotel (the 4th floor and the 7th floor are attached with no horizontal movement required to transverse from one to the other.) Always a good guest list with interesting panels and a great art show.
- Not Just Another Con (NJAC). The campus of Umass in Amherst provides the setting for this smallish, campus based con. If you want a place where mingling with the guests is a sure thing then this is for you. If you'd rather not have me bother you then you should avoid this one. Nice Campus, nice bar, free public transportation to surounding towns with fun restaurants.
- Icon. Another campus based con but with a real media bend. If you want to meet stars and authors then you need to come here.
- Albacon. Science fiction returns to the Albany area in a big way. Great guests and one of the more inexpensive cons in terms of hotels. Albany's a capital city with lots to do but you won't want to leave a convention with guests this exciting (remember, I'll be there.)
- Readercon. A book based con. Yes, if you read you need to attend this author heavy event. More authors than you can edit comfortably.
- Bucconeer. The 56th Worldcon will be held in Baltimore in 1998. If you only do one convention in your life you need to do a worldcon. The Hugos, the films, the programming, me. What is there not to like?

Hoo Boy! I'm impressed with all the information and I'm ready to almost, like, pass out or something. Better take me home.
Wait!! I want more. I want to continue. I want to get to fifth base. No, wait, this is the fifth page! So where do I go if I click above? Is this some time warpy, transdimensional kinda thing? Or can you just not count? And why is all this written in third person?
Have you emailed me yet to let me know what you think? Well, have you?
