The Australian national bottle show

The Australian national bottle show was held In Newcastle New South Wales on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of April.
The show was exceptionally well attended by both avid collectors and the general public.
It would appear as though the mass advertising campaign and the introduction of an area for general antique dealers paid good dividends

As always the show entries were of the highest quality and range
With entries coming not only from Australia but also from New Zealand
and Great Britain.

The entries where not restricted to the standard bottle categories but
allowed for a much wider scope and variety, coming from the general
collectibles area also ( see opposite Petrol station exhibit).

The show prize consisted of a superbly crafted water jug, emblazoned
in gold with the show logo.

So in all an excellent attempt by Mr Bill Willis and his team at the
Newcastle club.

Lets hope that this show sets a standard for others to follow.
