12.31.2000: In honor of the actual millennium and the doomsday cultists, I came across what I think is the best ever New Year's party plan: 12.29.2000: Do you ever wonder where that paper money in your pocket has been? Track the dead presidents. 12.26.2000: I got a Microsoft Game Voice for Christmas. I didn't like it: you have to install MSN Messenger (which continuously crashed Tribes), your friends have to be on MSN Messenger too, and the voice recognition doesn't work well in the heat of battle. Disappointed, I returned it. 12.23.2000: Lots of web sites use Flash animations these days. Normally they're just annoying. But here's a site created entirely with Flash that you don't view, you experience. 12.21.2000: Another Star Trek link. But this one truly made me laugh out loud. "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not an ice capader!" (Paramount: see disclaimer in previous item below.) 12.19.2000: Everybody knows about the phaser weapons from Star Trek. Now it looks like science fiction is becoming science fact. (Note to Paramount's overactive lawyers: Usage of the term "Star Trek" does not constitute an attempt to dilute, misuse, or otherwise impinge upon any trademarks or legal holdings of Paramount, UPN, or Gene Roddenberry Enterprises.) 12.17.2000: In the spirit of the holiday season, here's a double helping of goodies. Tired of those plain ole white teeth? Do you want to sport the Puffy Combs look on your choppers? Then bite into this: Removable gold teeth. These have to be the coolest workstations ever. They even rotate 120 degrees in 15 seconds! Check out Poetic Technologies Work Modules. 12.15.2000: Have you ever wondered how many ways a stick man can die? Stick blood and gore galore at Stickdeath. 12.13.2000: We've heard the promises of jetpacks. But now somebody's finally doing something about personal airborne transportation. Salivate over individual VTOL flight: stand up style or sit down style. Great stocking stuffers! 12.11.2000: Have you eaten canned salmon? It goes without saying, although I'm saying it, that those salmon have to come from somewhere before they end up in the can. Check out this video (Windows Media Player, 381K). |
