Tribes 2 Player Suffers Vicious Attack

MaxiDecimus, fan of the new computer game Tribes 2, was viciously attacked by members of his own online gang, or "tribe". Police say they have four members of the |eGoD| (elite Gladiators of Death) tribe in custody following the brutal beating.

When asked why tribesmates would attack one of their own members, Praetorius, one of the accused, said, "Dude, we all love the game, but he like totally knows all the maps by name and goes out of his way to show off. It got old really fast."

Police reports say that the tribe had gathered for their weekly LAN game and practice session. "We warned him not to keep up with that shiznit, but he wouldn't listen," said Quintus, another detainee. "He was all, 'That was so funny when you flew your Havoc backwards and crashed into the tower on Death Birds Fly.' We sorta snapped."

Investigators say the beating might have stopped there, but MaxiDecimus exacerbated the problem by telling his attackers, "Man, you dudes are whomping me like we killed that BattleTrolls tribe on Riverdance."

Asked if they felt any remorse for their actions, Praetorius replied, "Dude, we'd so like boot him from our tribe, but he's got the mad cap skillz. And besides, we practice in his basement, since it's totally tricked out with the LAN."
