Sierra Denies New Vehicle Addition

The Tribes 2 community is abuzz with rumors after recent news about a new patch for the popular computer game. According to Alex Rodberg, Sierra's brand manager for Tribes 2, the proposed patch would deal with UEs, FPS problems, and the ELF gun. But that hasn't stopped fans from speculating what else might be included.

"Dude, they're supposed to add a new vehicle," said one gamer we spoke with. "Everybody knows it. And do you think it's a coincidence that the patch announcement came out the same week as the 'IT' announcement? You know they all secretly work for the same mega corporation anyway."

Another enthusiast chimed in. "Yeah, that Ginger thing is supposed to revolutionize personal transportation. And that's the one thing missing in Tribes 2: a one-man ground vehicle. That'd be so cool, cruising to the enemy base on one of those things. Especially if you can use your cloaking pack!"

A Sierra spokesperson remained characteristically tight-lipped about the patch. "The proposed project still doesn't have any approved resources, so we can't really say anything about it right now. But, off the record, the consumer name, 'Ginger' or 'Segway' or whatever, doesn't really convey the spirit of our team combat game. Think 'Stallion'."
