Rand McNally, the world's leading provider of maps and atlases, announced today that they are including Tribes 2 in their latest publications. Business experts responded favorably to the move, noting that Tribes 2 makes extensive use of maps, and including them would widen Rand McNally's consumer base. "When you're in an unfamiliar location, a map helps you know where you're at and how to get to where you're going," said Jennifer Chrzastek, Rand McNally spokesperson. "Rand McNally is the only resource you need for mapping, routing, and travel solutions, whether you're in Chicago or fighting your way across Ymir." "To be successful at Tribes 2, you really need to know the maps," said Alex Rodberg, Sierra's brand manager for the online computer game. "Rand McNally's support gives serious players the information they need to compete successfully." "It's also a good partnership," added Chrzastek. "Rand McNally gains new gaming customers, and Sierra gains additional exposure to non-gaming customers that browse through atlases." Tribes 2 players we spoke to had another take on the announcement. "I don't want any of those map-reading llamas on my team," said one. "Take your eyes off the screen to check your map, and you'll be disc bait."
