CrazyQuilt Oriental Swap
Coordinator: Sandra Betts
ORIENTAL SWAP GUIDELINES:
Please bear with me as this is the first time I have coordinated a swap.
The idea of an oriental swap is to trade fabrics, embellishments/patterns for creating CQ projects with an oriental flair. I would ask that this be kept strictly in mind when choosing the components for your packages.
If you previously indicated an interest in this swap you will need to notify me again -- I cannot guarantee that I saved all the names. After the sign-up deadline I will post a list of all those who have indicated an interest. I will also contact you privately to confirm that your signup has been received and give you my private mailing address.

C - PATTERNS
The idea is to share patterns to embellish the oriental CQs, such as fans, oriental borders, oriental stitches , not actual patterns to make projects. for example -- diagrams to cover seams, diagrams for pagodas , fans, bamboo Photocopies and directions for any projects that you have done. It is very helpful to see the actual stitches.
MAILING INSTRUCTIONS:
Each person to send me 15 baggies of "kits" -- not all need be the same as long as they include the requirements of each category.
Put a slip of paper with YOUR name inside each bag so the name shows.
This is very important so that I do not send your own bag back to you.
Tape my name and address to the outside of the bag. Email me to get my address.
Get 2 mailers, about 10 x 13". Put your address on one and mine on the other. Be sure to include a return address on both. Put all your goodies in my mailer. If you are mailing from the US or outside of Canada you will need to take your parcel and have it weighed at the post office for postage. You will need to enclose an international postal coupon for the same amount for return postage . If you are mailing from inside Canada please enclose a similar amount for return postage plus .50. Any extra postage will be returned with your package. DO NOT USE METERED POSTAGE as the delay between receiving the packages and sending out the packages invalidates the date on the metered postage.
Mail my mailer. Email me at sgbetts@brunnet.net to let me know to expect it. The deadline to mail to me is Feb. 21. Deadline for me to receive the packages is March 7.
Wait for your parcels to wend their way to you. Expected date for parcels to be put into return mail --- barring unforeseen incidents -- is March 21.
Hope this is clear to everyone. If there are any questions please let me know.
