Crazy Quilt Christmas Ornament Swap

Coordinator: Jessie Gettliffe

Deadline: September 1st

Hostess has until October 1 to get around to sorting the decorations and putting them back in mail.

Both machine and hand work suitable -whatever you send, you might get either one back. (or is it worth splitting them up?) If so, I'm only volunteering for swap where some machine work is okay!)

Maximum size: about 8 inches (smaller is fine)

Maximum weight of all decorations: the 2 pounds that a $3 priority mail will handle, so that people can know how much postage to send on return envelope.

Color scheme: make them in colors you would like to receive, and the hostess will do her best not to send something that clashes with it!

Send as many as you would like to get back, up to maximum of 5. (Found in a non-CQ handmade swap that quality and fun both drop dramatically when people try to make more than 5 things for a deadline!)

Contact Jessie Gettliffe at JGETTLIF@stphcc1.hcc.com for mailing address.

Minimum number to be worth bother of handling swap: 6 people.

Place each decoration in a sealed plastic bag, with your screen name and real name enclosed. Put your five baggies into a larger plastic bag, and put your complete mailing address and the address of the swap hostess inside that larger baggie (in case outer envelope gets damaged in mail).

Enclose a self addressed stamped envelpe (SASE) with postage equal to amount to mail. If you are guessing at the postage, add an extra stamp on both envelopes. If you want to be safe, and are sending several swaps, use $3 priority mail package.

On SASE, put the swap hostess' address as the return address.

If you haven't communicated with the hostess regarding mailing your packet late, don't mail it after September 1.

Please let swap coordinator know when you mail your packets, from what city and state, and if you used special postage such as Priority Mail. She will respond when she receives them.

Hostess is not obligated to pay postage on packages without enough $ on SASE. You will get an E-mail offering choice of sending more $ or getting the number of swaps that can be sent with the postage you supplied.
