Break
Crashing waves
break the tide.
people flee,
children hide.
This is not
calming season.
Won't go outside-
don't have a reason.
So love + life
+ nature's gone.
Nothing here
to sing her song.
Past the shadows
break of day.
Now it all
goes away.
Waves get settled
upon their beds.
The birds poke out
with brave heads.
And then it comes.
A bath of gold
over the land.
I know it all
from where I stand.
Sun's bright light
starts the day.
Car pulls out,
we're on our way.
