Desert
Walking alone
on a desert plain
this isolation
driving me insane
I'm cold
despite the heat
the sand
burns in my feet
I'm afraid
of what lies behind
they say that i've
betrayed my kind
I drive on
despite the wind
pushing forward
though i've sinned
Now there's someone
up ahead
someone
who's also bled
Her sunshine hair
fights the storm
the love she has
i feel so warm
Completely engulfed
by her touch
this astounding love
i feel so much
She draws me in
to share her coat
and now we rise
begin to float
This love carries us
away from here
out of the desert
away from fear.
