Sublimity
Sublimity
divine chaos
there is a twinkling failure
a flower
it dies
the shifting petals in autumn twilight
light beam strikes,
eternally shifting
"Hold out your hand, dear.
There's nothing to be afraid of.
See, it lays there, so soft,
so gentle.
Beautiful little butterfly..."
screams pain
this little girl
seen before
crying
the drops rain down like gasoline
my eyes burn
painful to watch
"You can shut your eyes. You can turn away.
I'm not as lucky as you are. The movie is tattooed
on my eyelids."
smiling face
the eyes so light
bright
shining
brilliant
sparkling
thin, tight lipped painful grin
the lips slowly part
teeth show red,
stained
and bloody
"Smile dear, there's no reason to cry.
Look at this cake, isn't it pretty?
Smile now dear go out there and have fun."
it doesn't fit
don't try
don't force it
don't
try
stop.
please, stop.
"It's not my fault, she was just so small.
It was an accident I swear. She...
she was... just so small... too small..."
