Since I last updated this page, I've gotten a few more books finished. There was Siri Hustvedt's The Enchantment of Lily Dahl that was mesmerizing (I suppose it would have to be considering Siri is Paul Auster's wife!), good ol' boy Fitzgerald's The Beautiful and the Damned which I think is one of his best, and Chandler's The Lady in the Lake. Here's a little known fact: Raymond Chandler and I share the same birthday except by about a hundred years - July 23!).

Little Known Fact about Martha: Jordan Baker is where I came up with my choice in the change of my last name! Albert Camus' The Stranger Wuthering Heights actually made me cry! Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler are my heroes And The Watchmen, of course Kerouac's "On the Road" meant the world to me when I was about 15 And E. Annie Proulx, author of The Shipping News, is wonderful
