Girl In The Cafe
a big picture window, and you sitting inside
drinking coffee, reading poetry
i see you from across the street
and want to go over and say hi
you look so gentle and lovely yet so sexy
able to turn deviant men right
you've caught my eye, and i've caught yours
walking over to that window
our eyes follow each other
i enter the cafe and walk over to you
i know know you, i only know your beauty
i touch your shoulder, removing lint from your fabric
you shudder and smile
i want more from you
i want to touch you
to make you happy
but, i sit with you and we talk
you are my soul-mate... the one i want
together we become one... for a night
for a wonderful night
partners waiting at home
we must part now - no more talking
no more caressing my hand
i'd love to be with you
the time just isn't right
