Working on a project to coordinate, update, and verify the information across IDX’s Enterprise Dictionary product. Completed a project to clean up and organize all IDX programmer debugging and troubleshooting documentation. IDX is a healthcare software company delivering integrated Information Systems to healthcare organizations.
MetraTech Corp | April 2000 to August 2002 |
Responsible for the Software Development Kit (SDK) documentation. The audience is programmers and systems integrators who need hook up their data with MetraTech's Presentation Server. The SDK and accompanying documentation is a key component in the suite of tools MetraTech offers. Also work on other projects as part of the TechDoc team of writers.
Meta Software Corporation | January 1997 to April 2000 |
Responsibilities: Maintain and create user documentation for Meta Softwares tools. This includes printed documentation, online help (for Windows), and electronic documentation (Adobe Acrobat readable PDF files). Meta provides a BPR (Business Process Reengineering) tool called WorkFlow Analyzer.
Technisource/Precision Response Corporation | May 1996 to November 1997 |
Worked on a large project for AT&T. It was designed to sell wireless equipment (cellular phones and pagers), combined with various wireless and long distance services. Development platform was Windows NT, with the application also designed to run on NT.
Harris Computer Systems Corporation | September 1995 to May 1996 |
Duties included maintenance on PowerUX, a real-time extension of UNIX. Worked on a GUI to parts of the operating system, as well as updating commands and functions for a new revision.
Data Access Corporation | June 1993 to May 1996 |
Data Access Corporations main product, DataFlex, is a 4GL (Fourth Generation Language) and DBMS (Database Management System). Duties included maintenance of over 3,000 pages of existing documentation, as well as creation of new documentation for new products and product lines. Also published two technical articles in Flexlines, the magazine published by Data Access.

Programming/Testing Skills & Experience
Technisource/PRC
As well documenting CCSoft, work in the QA department testing the program. Perform test cases developed and tracked in Microsoft Access, as well as running "ad hoc" tests.
Data Access Corporation
As well as documenting DataFlex, wrote a few small applications in the language, and tested new functionality as it was developed.
Sports Tech International | September 1992 to January 1993 |
Duties included general purpose programming, light maintenance on PCs, and helping employees with software problems. Wrote a drawing routine for a new product being developed. Coding was done in Assembly (Intel 8051 chipset). Also did some C and C++ programming for DOS and Windows.
IBM | May 1992 to September 1992 |
Tested software to aid blind users of OS/2, called ScreenReader/2. Wrote and executed test cases. Test cases were written in a high-level language specific to the product.

Co-op position. Duties included updating a demonstration suite for Encores proprietary real-time operating system, MPX.

Wrote an alternative Guidebook about South Florida. Based on an outline from the publisher, Fender Publishing Corporation. The manuscript is currently being edited by the publisher.

January, 1991 to April, 1992Worked on a project to study the usage of CASE (Computer Aided Software Engineering) in Floridas computer industry. Researched and used a multitude of CASE tools. Other duties:
- Set up, ran, and administered a small (five machine) OS/2 network
- Worked as a grader for UNIX and Artificial Intelligence courses
- Taught a short, introductory course in C
U.S. Army
August 1985 to June 1986Team leader of a Russian Language class (10 people) for an intensive, 42-week Russian course at Defense Language Institute, Monterey, California. Managed all army-related aspects of the class.
