Appalachian View
The draft horse is at once both the measure of much and by today's standards the doer of little. The term horsepower is still key to the vocabulary we use to evaluate its replacement technology, the tractor. The sounds, sights, smells and the feeling of closeness to the land and intimacy with nature that was once part of the rich experience of farming that the draft horse allowed, is lost in today's air conditioned tractor cabs. However, you can still sense the simple lost pleasures that this type of farming involved as they are captured once for all by the magic of the artist. You will still hear the songs of birds, smell the freshy tilled soil, and sense the possibilities of life under your feet. Hang this in your air conditioned tractor cab for $600.
