-RON RICHARD BAVIELLO- Ron Baviello was born in Dobbs Ferry, New York, and moved to Greensboro, North Carolina at the age of three. After majoring in art at East Carolina University, Ron worked for several years as an advertising illustrator and a graphic artist. Joining the Navy was a significant career change for Ron--he became a medical technologist specializing in mycology (identifying fungal organisms). However, his love of art never waned. In fact, art is his release from the stressful and often tedious work in a medical laboratory. Ron paints mostly in acrylic and watercolor and is proficient in computer graphics. With his innate ability to easily learn computer programs, Ron is self-taught; although, he keeps up-to-date through on-line classes offered by the Corcoran School of Art. He works with many programs, including Photoshop, Painter, Illustrator, Bryce, Freehand, Director, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Quark.
