This past week a dear friend unfortunately chose to end her life.
This poem is in her memory...

"A Shining Example"

Serendipity
What it means to me
is a treasure that's lost
not found

Unconsciously
she let me see
where simple pleasures abound

Unexpectedly
for all to see
that snowflake fell to the ground

Crying endlessly
it occured to me
that glitter made no sound
