In the melancholy sadness I think I'd rather be a freight train
better than being insane
Or I'd rather be a sign post
better than being french toast
I'd rather be riding on the train tracks
better than being a coat rack

in the pond there was a scratch and sniff sticker
the blond scratched it and drowned

A silver coil wire
Flipping over and over
As it seems to soar

The slinky on the escalator

Many sizes, many shapes, and many colors
There are Jordans, and Pippins, and Pennys
There are Mashburns, and Hills, and Shaqs
There's even LJs, Kidds, and Stacks
How many shoes I wonder
Man will never know

The stick of chalk rubs off
the flying white dust makes you cough
the dust in plastered on the board in designs
of squares, circles, boxes, and lines
it is many sizes, smaller and bigger

Until the fateful day
when the eraser came and swept them away
