Should I be as you see me?
all frail and thin
Should I stay as you carved me?
memory crowned;
ever same, ever again
I have been strong enough
to carry you
Held your hand
as we lived through
But you say my shoulders
are too narrow to bear weight
as Atlas.
My hands too small to hold
a firm grip.
And I would soon be lost
so you cradle me
as I softly smile.
