Monkey

Blindness would plague me if I were smart enough to see,
but these orbs I've branded shut with an iron cross.
[see no evil]

So darkness to weight upon my breast with the cage of bone compressing air.
Just try to hold that breath....
[speak no evil]

This lack of muster, even the least harmful of words,
weak hands to cover mortal ears,
whisper ghouls...
[hear no evil]

Turn around now,
softer, softest.
Heart to weave a soul around and forget,
but those words are crushed within the cords,
by your own castrated bile and those vile sores.
See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

Oh these crass and unbeautiful things built up upon me,
now I believe I want to see.
Oh this burning within my stoic core,
now I believe I want to be.
Oh lack luster! forge me this new tiding,
and I'll say it was all good as god,
with all it's blood lust and scorn...

Turn around now,
show that frayed hair, show that scarred back,
softer, softest,
all of it rose flesh, all of it lace thin.

I'll hold up my blank wrist,
clutching the monkey's severed paw,
and the bottle of his monkey gland.
