Atlantic City Architecture
Photography/Poetry
Welcome to my page. My page will be devoted to a little history on the remaining buildings that have some historical reference to the architecture and art form of Atlantic City.
As many newspapers have noted, the second wave of the casino industry has started in Atlantic City and with this wave, several of the remaining buildings that were built in the 1930's are coming down.
I will try to bring to you photographs I have taken of these buildings, their history, and possibly what will be replacing them.
I truly enjoy architecture and the art that was produced by our forefathers. They came to America with their unique skills and forged a craft that is lost to us today. Seeing these structures removed from our location is very sad, but we have to make way for progress.
I am a published poet, and from time to time I will share a poem or two with you, depending on my muses. I enjoy classical music, theater, yoga, working out, the new age movement and the sensible way to good health through proper eating and nutrition rather than taking drugs. I have this need to travel as much as possible, and to learn everything I can about a new location or island is a must for me. I am not the typical tourist. My camera is always documenting everything I experience, and I am always taking notes that will enhance the story of my travels.
I hope you will visit my page often and that we will learn from each other.
