the stuff you put out is toxic

to me and all around you

and when someone touches you, you hurt them

especially those with open wounds



so i don't get too close to you

i watch you from a distance, mostly

which means we aren't very close

but i still feel like you owe me



i mean, it isn't any great prize

just being your nursemaid all the time

trying to keep the poisons you spew

from hurting me and killing you.
