Now we will visit some of the offices which house several different departments.
This office is part of the research department. The other photo shows where scholars will be able to examine original texts.
The offices that face the colonnade have magnificent views looking over the entrance portico.
Now let's visit the roof garden which surrounds the green tiles covering the portico. The very top is open to light. Doesn't this look like a lovely place to work?!
We now head for the underground area of the Archives Extension. On the way we pass a study table in an alcove and the maintenance tunnel that connects all the buildings on the Arc.
Below is the inside reception area to the Archives Extension. Below this floor is the specially atmospheric controlled vault where all the Holy Relics and Tablets will be kept. We couldn't visit this area. Then we end our journey by returning outside through the main entrance and walking around to the outside entrance to the Archives Extension.
We end our tour and walk behind the Archives Building for a glimpse of the bridge over Hatizionut Avenue. The garden is just taking hold with the Shrine of the Bab in the background. As we leave, we see the Centre for the International Counsellors.
