Now we are inside the gate.
It's a short walk along the city walls to the Temple Mount.
Here we first see the Temple Mount from below. The Dome of the Rock is to the left and the El Aqsa Mosque is on the right.
At the foot of the Temple Mount is the Western Wall, the holiest site in Judaism. This is also called the "Wailing Wall", a site of Jewish prayer and longing for the reconstruction of the temple.
On the next page we ascend to the sacred spot.
