~The Way Life Goes~

We travel down life's many roads

some smooth and others yet unpaved

We always have a choice

to take the familiar route

or travel down the unknown road.

We would all like to go

on the shortest, smoothest route

but almost always,

this is not as the God/dess

has intended for us.

We have many rest stops along the way

Sometimes we may find a place

where we are comfortable

someplace we would like to call home

only to find that there is a calling for us elsewhere

that we are needed down the road

whether we realize it or not at the time.

We do the best we can to make the best of things

maybe occasionally finding

some meager thread of happiness

where we would otherwise have been miserable.

We do our best

to make life comfortable

for us and those around us

hoping that somehow

someway

we have made a difference
