here is a list of all the books in my pagan bookstore is a not-so-random order. my comments are in green.
to get more information on a book (like price, etc...), and/or to order it, hit the book's title. if you have read a book that you think belongs here, write me about it, please!!!
A Book of Pagan Rituals. i have not actually seen this one, but it was the only one i could find one the subject which did not seem like a bunch of crowley garbage. it's cheap enough that if you are looking specifically for a book of spells to follow, it might be worth checking out. (i would suggest seeing my "make your own spell page" first, though!)
The Neo-Pagan Essence i have not read this, either, but i know of Otter Zell. he is a good writer; well-known and humerous, too. here's an example of one of his essays: the other people.
Drawing Down the Moon : Witches, Druids, Goddess-Worshippers, and Other Pagans in America Today
by Margot Adler i also have this one... my feelings on it are mixed. for one, it's nice to have the history, but there is jsut way too much feminism in it. you won't even hear about a male worshipper in this book. basically, i recommend you read this, but purely for information and history, not for a guide book! it's also a good one for pesky neighbors and relatives who want to know more about your religion.
note: this is NOT a book, this is the actual deck of cards!
this is the deck that i have. i love it. the pictures are beautiful and you can tell what he cards mean without even looking at the little instruction booklet that comes with it. this is definately the tarot deck for people who don't want a conventional looking deck like the rider-waite! please click here to see some examples of cards in the deck.
note: if you want a book that goes much more in depth then just the little instruction booklet that comes in the box with the deck, then i HIGHLY recommend the book listed below:
Tarot of the Cat People : A Travelers Report
by Karen Kuykendall this is the book that goes along with the deck.... but it's more than just another instruction book, it's a story. you'll find yourself reading the entire thing from start to finish the first time you pick it up! it's filled with fanciful, colorful information, and somehow gives you the feeling that you have a special relationship with the cards themselves.
