The Twist School of Petty Crime

Not every criminal is hungry for the fast-paced, high-risk game of serious crime. Many turn to crime as a form of expression and to release pent up emotions. ASU caters to their needs through the varied Twist School curriculum.

PC101- The Fundamentals of Petty Crime

There is more to petty crime than running around breaking things. It requires finesse and often a sense of the artistic. (3 credits)

LAW321- The Misdemeanor

Laws are virtually useless against petty criminals, and a skilled student can walk away from several arrests without spending a day in court. This course will give students those skills. (3 credits)

JAY101- Introduction to Jaywalking

This class covers the laws surrounding jaywalking, teaching the students what is jaywalking and what isn't, and how to avoid getting run over. (3 credits)

JAY102- The Artistic Side of Jaywalking

Jaywalking is more than simply breaking pedestrian crossing laws. Students can find a variety of ways to express their innerselves while breaking the law. Students will be graded according to actual jaywalks.(4 credits)

ART101- Advanced Grafitti

To some, the sight of a plain brick wall ignites a create spark that compels them to make it a canvas of their inner souls. This class examines color coordination, scripts, and other techniques for making your paint-sprayed name the most attention-getting in the subway.(2 credits)

VAN101- Basic Vandalism

As an introductory course, this class focuses on what kinds of things are breakable and how the vandal can escape injury or capture.(3 credits)

VAN102- Advanced Vandalism

This course, a continuation of VAN101, will offer guidelines on breaking things that wil attract the most attention but with minimal risk.(3 credits)

PICK101- Thievery: Pickpocketing

Because everyone needs some form of income, this class teaches students distraction tactics, how to take wallets, and what to do with stolen items.(3 credits)

PICK102- Thievery: Lockpicking and burglary

In the case of more enterprising thieves, skills designed to defeat mechanical locks becomes more important. This class also includes guidelines for getting the most valuable items in the shortest possible time and for avoiding capture.(3 credits)

PICK103- Advanced Lockpicking

Students taking this course learn how to beat electronic and combination locks. Since these undoubtedly contain more sophisticated and expensive items, additional attention is given to burglary techniques. (3 credits)
