Country Cats

I found the pattern for the cats in a Quiltmaker magazine.  The pattern was only abut 25 inches square. I enlarged it by adding borders. It is machine pieced and quilted. I use my Pfaff to embroider the cats' faces and to put little sayings in the hearts. The hearts were appliquéd using the blanket stitch on my machine.  What do cats like?  Mice! For the backing I had some fabric I had bought at our quilt guild silent auction - an old fashioned Minnie Mouse.  Minnie stands about 2 inches tall.  I have included a picture of her. This was a fun quilt to make.
