Sitting alone doing nothing but think
About what is happening...I take a drink
I drink for the future and then the past!
I also hope that some moments would last.
There was a time I was with someone...
It was all but she, there was no one
Who could ever make me enjoy life.
We were so close and so tight,
I enjoyed every moment I was with her.
All of my attention...I gave to her.
But there was someone in her heart...
He was right there from the start.
He broke her heart...they grew apart!
And when we met, it was the start
Of a new kind of love she never expected
From someone like me she never suspected.
I wanted to love her with all my heart.
I never wanted us to part!
But then the time came when she told me
She wasn't ready to be my one and only.
My heart broke because then I knew
I'll be back in darkness where no love flew!
